Who Can Be Treated with Acupuncture?

Due to acupuncture’s non-invasive nature, it is safe for everyone, from child to adult. Acupuncture has most commonly been used to treat adults, including senior citizens and pregnant women, but recent studies, including one undertaken at the Harvard-affiliated Children’s Hospital in Boston, suggest that acupuncture can be beneficial for children as well. In this study, children complaining of minor chronic complaints such as headaches, stomachaches, and back pain were treated with acupuncture over the course of three years. At the end of the study, their symptoms had subsided significantly.
